LGBTQ

Event: Gender Diversity and 2SLGBTQ+ Inclusion

In this Workshop:

  • Explore evocative icebreakers to help deepen and connect to personal relations to each of our own genders.
  • Understand the different pronouns and how we use pronouns in our day-to-day speech.
  • Learn the important terms and key skills for creating a gender-inclusive culture.

For many business owners, diversity is new territory, and concepts such as gender identity, gender expression, and pronoun usage can feel overwhelming. However, with increasing misinformation in the media, it is more important than ever to create a respectful environment for transgender & non-binary members in our communities.

By learning how to build gender inclusive environments, we can better understand how our gender identity impacts our day-to-day life.

With an open and friendly approach, we will unpack the language around gender diverse identities, pronouns, and the unique (often invisible) barriers created by gender.

Understanding how trans- and gender-diverse issues impact all of us, we can work together to build a community less constrained by gendered expectations.

When?

  • Tuesday, June 4th, from 12:00pm to 1:30pm
