International Female Entrepreneurship Day Events
November 19 is International Female Entrepreneur Day!
Today we celebrate the creativity, resilience, and leadership of women entrepreneurs who are driving innovation and strengthening our Cowichan Valley community.
From startups to seasoned business owners, women are breaking business barriers, building opportunities, and inspiring the next generation of leaders.
At Community Futures Cowichan, we're proud to support women in business with access to funding, mentorship, and resources that help great ideas grow.
This year, we are proud to sponsor the Cowichan Women's Business Network's November Glow & Grow event.
"Cowichan Women's Business Network is a community of like-hearted women who are committed to supporting your growth, celebrating your success, and giving back to help other courageous women follow their dreams too."
We are fortunate to partner with organizations like CWBN who align with our passion for growing and supporting women in business.
Coming Up in December
In celebration of Women's Entrepreneurship Day, in partnership with Duncan Cowichan Chamber of Commerce, we are bringing together a panel of local female entrepreneurs who are experts in the key areas of business operations. Not only are they experts, but they also have the lived experience of starting and operating a business as a female. This is a great chance to ask your questions and be a part of a conversation all about the rewards and challenges of female small business owners.
Women’s Entrepreneurship Day panel, Wednesday December 10:
- Social Media - The Basics & The Latest - Sara Bjornson, Time in the Valley
- Bookkeeping - Tips that Make Sense & Money - Koren Palmer, Host Bookkeeping
- Branding - What's the Secret Sauce - Lindsey Mercer, Identity Graphics
- HR - Best Practices to Keep Everyone Happy - Kathy Neeves, Evolution HR
There will be light lunch served at the Cowichan Regional Visitor Centre.
Join us for networking, lunch and refreshments, and engaging conversation with fellow female entrepreneurs.
This event is for females only, and is generously sponsored by:
